Yesterday we were learning how to do a chest pass - a chest pass is a straight pass from your chest to someone else's chest.
First, spread your feet shoulder width apart, then put your hands like a W on the ball, and then push it hard. But to make sure it gets directly to the other persons chest, point your fingers to their chest ( not their face ) right after you pass.
Also, to get the ball to the chest, you need force. So when you pass, step into it, but make sure you keep your grounded foot on the ground, otherwise you would be stepping with the ball.
After we practiced, we had a challenge:
to do as many chest passes in a minute without dropping the ball, in teams of three. In my team, it was Maia, Leah-Marie, and me, and we got 48 passes, but we were quite a while off the best, 96.
I think that after practicing my chest passes with Nicole at Go 4 It, I have improved my chest passing a lot and that I'll always remember what I learnt that day .
